Why Bednarek Consulting exists.
I graduated in 2007 with a business degree focussing on digital marketing and e-commerce, and I’ve worked in the field every year since. I started as an SEO analyst, and quickly realised that to do the job well I had to understand what sat underneath it. So I learned web development, then server management, because you can’t properly optimise something you don’t fully understand.
I’d been building websites since the dial-up days. Since then I’ve worked across genuinely talented agency teams, a few that were all polish and no substance, in-house on the client side, and independently. That range taught me what good actually looks like, and where the industry quietly lets people down.
Too often I watched agencies pay more attention to the lines on an invoice than to the quality of the work or the results it delivered. Bednarek Consulting is my answer to that. I set it up to work the way I always thought this should be done: to empower clients, not lock them in.
What I build with.
The tools matter less than knowing how to use them, but here’s what I reach for. WordPress and WooCommerce for the builds, WP Engine for fast, reliable hosting, and the SEO, analytics and AI-search tools that keep clients visible. Every one of them earned its place through years of real client work. I know these deeply enough to know when not to use them.
How I work – the principles.
A few things I hold to, on every project:
When you work with me, you work with me.
Projects are founder-run and nothing is outsourced without your say-so. The person you brief is the person who builds it, so nothing gets lost in translation between a salesperson, an account manager and whoever’s actually doing the work.
A flat structure means low overheads, which means better value for you, without any compromise on skillset. You get senior-level work at the scale a small business actually needs, and a straight-talking view of how we hit your objectives. No upsells. No padding.
Trusted for the long term.
Some I’ve built from scratch; others I’ve supported for years with SEO, marketing, and the technical work that keeps a site fast and secure.
What they share is that they stayed – and in this industry, clients stay when the work keeps earning its place.
It starts with a conversation.
People sometimes ask whether hiring one person is riskier than hiring an agency. In my experience it’s the opposite: you get the senior person on every task, a direct line to them, and none of the guesswork that creeps in when work passes through three sets of hands.
However this begins, a call, a meeting, or a quick brief filled out online, it starts with a conversation. We work out what you’re trying to achieve, and whether I’m the right person to help you get there. No pressure, no obligation.
If I am, you’ll have a senior partner in your corner. If I’m not, I’ll tell you that too.
