Most site problems start with something left alone for too long. A plugin goes out of date and gets exploited, or an update breaks the site and nobody notices for days.

Why not a generic host
You can host a WordPress site for about £60 a year, and plenty of businesses should. Here’s what you’re taking on if you do.
Updates are yours
Cheap hosting runs the files and nothing else. Nobody’s watching whether last night’s plugin update broke your contact form. That job quietly becomes yours.
Support that knows your site
A budget host’s support team will tell you whether the server is up or down. They won’t tell you why your bookings stopped coming through on Tuesday. I will.
Backups you’ve never tested
Most cheap plans keep a backup somewhere. Restoring one in a hurry, with your site down, is a different matter. I test that restores actually work.
The real cost is your time
A couple of hours each month chasing site problems with remote support or chatbots is the expensive option, whatever the hosting line on your invoice says.

Moving your site to me is free for most sites. If yours is unusually complex, I’ll tell you the cost before anything starts.
You can cancel either plan with a month’s notice. On a yearly plan that stops the next renewal, and the year you’ve paid for runs to its end.
I’m not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay.
- Growth work doesn’t need your site hosted with me. If it’s hosted elsewhere, the search and AI visibility work sits on its own.
If I’m running your search and AI visibility work, the hosting and care side is sorted as part of it.
Hosting an online shop?
Smaller shops are usually well looked after on the Hosting & Security plan. If you run a WooCommerce shop with a large catalogue or steady daily orders, I’d suggest Hosting & Care. A plugin update that breaks checkout costs real sales, and on Care I fix it.
Very high-traffic or large-scale shops may need hosting beyond these plans. If that’s you, talk to me first and I’ll scope it properly rather than put you on a plan that won’t keep up.

What a WordPress hosting plan doesn’t include
Hosting and care keep your site running as it is. Some work sits outside that, and I’ll quote it separately.

Getting started.
There’s no online checkout yet. It starts with a short conversation, so I can check the plan works for your site and gives us the best chance of achieving your objectives.
Tell me about your site
Send me your site address and which plan you’re after. If you’re not sure, say so and I’ll suggest one.
I look it over
I check how the site’s built and what state it’s in. If it needs work before I can take it on, I’ll tell you plainly, with a cost, before anything starts.
I move it across
I set up the hosting and move your site to it, which is free for most sites. Your domain stays registered in your name, and I’ll need access to the DNS to point it across (or you can update it).
You're covered
I send an invoice, yearly or monthly in advance, and your plan starts. From then on, I look after the rest and you can focus on running your business.
I’m happy to host sites other people built, as long as they’re WordPress. I look at each one first, because some are in a state I can’t support. If yours is one of them, I’ll say so and explain what would need fixing before we migrate the site.
Before you get in touch
A few things worth knowing before you pick a plan. Anything I’ve missed, drop me a line.
Hosting & Security covers the hosting itself: backups, security monitoring and updates, with a rollback if an update causes a problem. Hosting & Care adds me looking after the site. That means an hour a month of small content changes, fixing anything an update breaks, uptime monitoring, and a quarterly health check with a one-page report.
Usually, yes, as long as it’s a WordPress site. I look at every site first, because some are in a state I can’t support. If yours needs work before I can take it on, I’ll tell you what and what it would cost before anything starts.
Moving your site to one of my WordPress hosting plans is free for most sites.
Anything that isn’t WordPress or WooCommerce, since my hosting is built around WordPress. I also can’t take on a site that’s been compromised, or that runs software which can’t be kept up to date, until those problems are fixed.
Very busy sites may need a different arrangement, so I ask about traffic before I agree to anything.

Tell me your site address and which plan you’re after, and I’ll check the site and confirm. Then I send an invoice and your plan starts.
Because on Care, I fix what breaks. I can’t promise that on a site I haven’t seen.
A quick look lets me say yes with confidence, or tell you what needs doing first.
On both plans I roll the site back to the last working version from a backup, so you’re not left with a broken site.
On the Hosting & Care plan I also find the cause and fix it, which is included.
On the Hosting & Security plan, fixing the cause is quoted separately if you’d like me to do it. In almost all cases I’d strongly encourage fixing anything preventing the latest WordPress core and plugin versions from powering your site.
Your site is backed up automatically every single day without fail and these backup files are stored externally from the web server itself.
I can restore from those backups on request, which is how a rollback works.
I can also trigger manual backups upon request which could be useful if you’re planning a big change or update.
Things like editing text, swapping an image, updating prices or changing opening times. You get up to an hour a month on Hosting & Care, and unused time doesn’t roll over. Entirely new pages, writing new copy and redesigning layouts sit outside it.
If a change request would run past the hour, I’ll tell you first and quote it.
On Hosting & Care, uptime monitoring tells me the second your site is down, and I start working on it the same working day – usually within the hour. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Hosting & Security plans doesn’t include proactive uptime monitoring, so there’s no guaranteed response time on that plan. Once I’m aware, I can roll back to the last stable update in a matter of minutes.
Yes, with a month’s notice. On a monthly plan, that ends it a month later. On a yearly plan, it stops the next renewal and the year you’ve paid for runs to its end, with no refund for unused months. There are no long contracts.
Yearly is £250 for Hosting & Security or £950 for Hosting & Care, which works out as two months free.
Monthly is £25 or £95, and you can leave sooner.
Both are paid in advance.
Your domain stays registered in your name, with your own registrar. I help set it up and point it at your hosting.
I don’t host email, so yours stays where it is, and I’ll make sure the move doesn’t interrupt it.
Need proper addresses on your domain? I can set up external mailboxes, separate from your hosting.
And on a new project, I can register the domain for you, with the first year included when you host annually.

Yes. The site and its content are yours. Give me the required notice and I’ll hand over a full copy so you can move it to another host without any issues.
Need a website to look after?
Every site I build can move straight onto either plan. Hosting with me is optional.
Web Design & Development
A new site built properly and handed over so you can edit it yourself. Starter websites are £900 for three to five pages. Larger sites start from £1,800.
E-Commerce
WooCommerce and Shopify shops built to sell and kept reliable. Shops start from £3,600, with a fixed quote once we’ve talked it through. My hosting plans cover WordPress and WooCommerce sites.
